DEBII HDR Retreat 2010

The DEBII HDR Retreat 2010 will be held on 16th - 17th of June 2010. Brief details are given below. Please note that it is compulsory for all the DEBII HDRs to attend this retreat and you are requested to keep the dates mentioned above, free for the retreat.

Venue

When: Wednesday, 16 June, 2010 – 8.00 am to 5 pm-Includes free visit to the Aquarium; and

Thursday 17, June, 2010 - 9.30 am to 5 pm; followed by free dinner

Where: 16 June 2010: AQWA (Aquarium of Western Australia), Hillarys
17 June 2010: Technology Park Function Centre, Bentley

The above locations have been selected considering the suggestions provided by the students. The first day is at AQWA, which boasts the incredible and unique marine life that exists in Australia. All the students will get a chance to have a free entry to the aquarium. The second day is at a function centre, Technology Park, and it is amongst a tranquil parkland setting and is easily accessible from Curtin University. A retreat will be concluded by a dinner for all the participants.

Kindly note that :

  1. First day of the retreat will be a Common Session for all the students. First half of the day will be learning sessions and discussions. The second half will be free for all the students to visit the aquarium
  2. Second day of the retreat has two parallel sessions, having a various research related topics.

All the students need to reply by today, 11th June 2010 to this mail with your choice of session for the second day of the retreat. This is essential for making required arrangements.
